A visitation will be held at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, located at 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, LA, 71108, on February 13, 2026, starting at 1:30 pm. A Celebration of Life will follow at the same location on February 13, 2026, beginning at 2:00 pm.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Loyd Smith; her parents, N.B. Murff and Ogaretta Gray; her son, Keith Smith; her grandsons, Anthony Smith and Blake Smith; her great-granddaughter, Katelynn Smith; her great-grandson, Joey Smith; her sister, Susan McNeil; and her brother-in-law, James McNeil.
Gloria is lovingly survived by her children, Kirby Smith and Sheila Smith Hall (Mike); her grandchildren Nicole, Crystal, Kayla, Aaron, Chad, and Cody; her nieces Stacy Williams and Shayna Griffis; her nephews Robert Smith and Steve Smith; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Gloria had a deep love for flowers of every kind—every color and variation brought her joy. She had a servant’s heart and devoted many years of her life helping others. She was creative, tenacious, and resilient as she approached life with a determination that opened many doors and opportunities along her journey.
Singing was one of Gloria’s greatest passions, especially singing praises to her Lord and Savior. Her faith was the foundation of her life. She faithfully served as a Sunday School teacher and youth leader at First UPC of Gretna and teaching Sunday school at Apostolic Faith Tabernacle, touching countless lives through her dedication, love, and example.
Gloria will be remembered for her unwavering faith and generous spirit.
Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
