Jane Suggs Tomerlin

Shreveport, LA Jane Suggs Tomerlin was born December 8, 1921 in Daingerfield, TX, her parents were Candis and Elihue Suggs. She went to be with her Lord November 08, 2015.

Mrs. Tomerlin was a faithful member of Christ United Methodist Church. She loved sharing life and traveling with her best friend and husband of 59 years, Bill. Mrs. Tomerlin retired from South Central Bell after more than 35 years of service. She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers.

Mrs. Tomerlin is preceded in death by her husband, W. C. Tomerlin, Jr.; her parents; a sister, Frances McCullough; and a brother, John H. Suggs. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Lorene Suggs; nieces, Gail Haynes, Ellen Tucker, Barbara Purpera, Thelma Schwartz, and Dorothy Bayne; nephews, James H. Bayne and Patrick Suggs; a multitude of great nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

A service celebrating the life of Jane Suggs Tomerlin will be conducted Friday, November 13, 2015, 1:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Tom Howe of Christ United Methodist Church and Troy Bayne of Longview Christian Church. The family will receive visitors from 12 noon until service time.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Christ United Methodist Church.
