Jo Ann Partridge Ilgenfritz was born March 25, 1939 in Amity, Arkansas to the late Moses and Johnnie Mary Partridge. She began her career at Bellsouth/ATT as a switchboard operator and retired as a toll testing technician in 1995.
Jo was a mother of three and was affectionately known to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as "Momma Jo". She loved to cook, was an avid reader and a talented seamstress and quilter. She made all the Southwood High School girls' state championship banners that hang in the gym along with many quilts and baby blankets, which have been passed down through two generations. Jo was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and an enthusiastic member of the Woodlawn High School Football Booster Club in the 1980s. She enjoyed watching football and basketball on TV any chance she could.
Left to cherish her memory are her brother, Billy Partridge; three children, Michael Ilgenfritz [wife Laurie and children Emily Rachal (husband Colton) and Sarah Parks (husband Nick)], Teresa Wilson [husband Jimmy and children Katie Wilson and Joni Otwell (husband Gage)], and Leslie Ilgenfritz and her children, Jason Scales, Andy Scales and Anna Beth Scales. She also leaves behind eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Jo went home to be with the Lord on April 17, 2025 in Shreveport, Louisiana at the age of 86. She is now reunited with her parents, three sisters and five brothers.
Jo will be laid to rest with a private family graveside service in Centuries Memorial Park, 8801 Mansfield Rd, Shreveport, LA 71108-5813;
