John was born on September 13, 1944, in Camden, ME. He proudly served in the United States Air Force, before settling in Shreveport, LA, where he later retired from the Shreveport Police Department.
Survivors include his wife, Lynda Sanders Brann; her sisters, Karen Carter and Diane Thomas; his brother, Bob Brann (Sally); their children, Steve Ramsey, Kelly Elftmann, and Sherry Ramsey-Hereford (Thomas); their 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, November 29, 2014, at Centuries Memories Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Rd., Shreveport, LA 71108. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Relatives and friends are welcome at Centuries Memories Funeral Home, Friday, November 28, 2014 between 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Pallbearers are Todd Bell, Jeremy Bell, Cody Carter, Larry Morton, Sam Wyatt, and Danny Webb.
