

BOSSIER CITY, LA – Celebration of Life service to honor Lamar Staton Allums, 80, will be held at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, February 27, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Geno Munds will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, February 26, 2015, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Allums was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church. He enjoyed reading the Bible, fishing, and going to Strawn’s on Meatloaf Monday.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nellie Allums; and his parents, Fred and Virinda Allums. Left to cherish precious memories are his sisters, Lynda Davis and Beverly Worley; daughters, Sharon Thompson and husband Mark, and Marla Pendarvis and husband James; son, Willard Allums and wife Rhonda; eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the V.A. Hospital doctors and nurses, Heritage Manor Stratmore staff, and the hospice nurses for all of their care and support.
