Larry Ray Anderson

Allen, TX Larry Ray Anderson was born July 3, 1931 in Bossier City, LA, his parents were Jewel Thomas and Sallie Tomlinson Anderson. He passed away January 27, 2017 at his home in Allen, TX from Leukemia.

Mr. Anderson was a graduate of Bossier High School in 1948 and received his Business of Science degree from Louisiana Tech in 1952. He was a member of Kappa Alpha Order Fraternity. He served eight years in the US Navy. He was a computer entrepreneur in hardware and software starting in 1957. He lived in Monroe for 47 years and retired to Allen, Texas in 2005. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Allen and was active in numerous community organizations. Ray had the love of music, history, the arts, travel and especially his family and friends.

Mr. Anderson is preceded in death by his parents and five siblings, Herman Anderson, Marguerite Anderson Crawford, Aline Anderson Mackey, Jay Anderson, and James Anderson. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Melda Gage Anderson; daughters, Theresa LaDell Anderson (Dennis Alan Jarrett), Cheryl Anderson Pedigo (Madison Pedigo), and Laura Anderson Williams (Wayne Lee Williams); grandchildren, Elise Nicole Pedigo, Kelse Anderson Pedigo, Payne Anderson Reese, Gage Silliman Reese, Matthew Jason Williams, Loren Maine Williams, Cole Matthew Williams, Ryan Cooper Williams, and Scotty Lee Williams; sisters, Helon Anderson Neeson and Vivian Anderson Lowery; other relatives and friends.

A service will be held at the graveside on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, 2:00 PM in Centuries Memorial Park, Shreveport, LA. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 PM until service time at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Mark Anderson, Madison Pedigo, Dennis Jarrett, Wayne Williams, Payne Reese and Gage Reese. Honorary Pallbearer will be Kelvin Gage
