Larry Daniel Bamberg

A memorial service celebrating the life of Larry Daniel Bamberg will be held Saturday, January 18, 2020, 2:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. The family will receive friend at 1:00 PM prior to the service.

Larry was born in Shreveport on July 25, 1943 and passed away peacefully on January 11, 2020 at his home.

He was a retired Captain of the Shreveport Police Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.

Larry was a dedicated husband and father. He was a 32nd degree Mason, he was a Shriner and in the Eagles Motorcycle Group.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Larry Bamberg and Laura T. Bamberg, a son-in-law, Michael Greene and in-laws Bob and Jean Greenlee.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Greenlee Bamberg, his children, Duane Bamberg, Susan Bamberg Greene and Sharon Bamberg Willis, grandchildren, Timothy Bamberg (Renee), Jeff Bamberg, Mallory Padgett, Daniel Willis, Nolan Greene, and Amy Willis, great-grandchildren, Zane, Lyandin, Tyler, Kayson, Lillie, Sophie, Caroline and Yuri, brothers Jerry Glen Bamberg and wife Etoise of Arkansas and Michael Wayne Bamberg and wife Mildred of Doyline, LA, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be missed by all.
