Born on July 19, 1934, Margaret was a spirited woman who lived life with fire, laughter, and deep love. She had a feisty sense of humor and a twinkle in her eye that could light up any room. Her quick wit and warm heart made her unforgettable to everyone who knew her.
Margaret was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Her love for her family was boundless, and she poured herself into their lives with unwavering support and affection. She was a proud and active member of her church, where she found joy in singing in the choir, a reflection of her deep faith and love for the Lord.
She also had a competitive streak and a playful spirit, which showed up in her love for bowling. Whether knocking down pins or simply spending time with loved ones, Margaret embraced life’s simple joys.
She is survived by her loving daughter Donna Lawson (Bill); her grandchildren, Tanya Aldrin, Melissa Wilson, and Dillon Ray (Kadi); her great-grandchildren, Cypriss Ray, Oakleigh Ray, and Evan Wilson (Morgan); and her great-great-grandchild, Rowan Wilson. Her legacy will continue to live on through each of them.
Margaret was preceded in death by her beloved son, Carl Ray; her father, Rev. George Coward; and her mother, Elma Jean Maxie. While we mourn her passing, we find comfort in knowing she is reunited with those she loved and missed dearly.
Margaret will be laid to rest at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home & Park, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, LA 71108. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a legacy of love, laughter, and faith.
She will be missed more than words can express, but her spirit will remain in our hearts forever.
