

Margery M. Davison was born November 16, 1924 in Providence, R. I. her parents were Patrick Francis McCusker and Rose McLean McCusker. She went to be with her Lord January 18, 2018 at her home in Shreveport after complications from a fall.
Mrs. Davison worked for Sister Margaret, she worked with the Joy Fund, had a Life Membership in P. T. A., worked as a Den Mother with the Cub Scouts, worked with the Royal Rangers, was a Deaconess at Life Tabernacle and attended Shreveport Community Church. In recent years Momma enjoyed serving as Chief Greeter for Carole’s Estate Sales.
Mrs. Davison was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 68 years, George W. Davison; a brother, Malcolm McCusker; and a son in law, Leslie Douvier. She is survived by her sons, Donald A. Davison and wife Susan and James A. Davison and wife Ann, her daughters, Nancy D. Douvier, Catharine J. Gibson and husband Homer, and Carole D. Hardin and husband William, Sr.; eight grandchildren, Mark Davison and wife Patricia, Michelle Davison, Elizabeth Filipek and husband Peter, Andrea Douvier, Jessica Montagna and husband Joseph, Erica Conway, and husband Matthew, William Hardin, Jr. and wife Carleen and George Hardin; eight great-grandchildren, Dylan Davison, Ella Davison, Nikolai Filipek, Thomas Filipek, Michaela Filipek, Elias Filipek, Madyson Conway, and Liam Conway; other relatives and friends.
A service celebrating the life of Margery M. Davison will be held Monday, January 22, 2018. 10:00 AM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Woody Janise and Rev. William Hardin, Jr. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, January 21 from 5 until 7 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Peter Filipek, Mark Davison, George Hardin, Joseph Montagna, Nikolai Filipek, and Matthew Conway. Honorary Pallbearer is John Walker.
