Mary Louise Dunn DePrang, 80, of Keithville, Louisiana, passed away on October 21, 2024. She was born on March 28, 1944 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Her parents were Wiley P. Dunn, Maudine N. and Jack Bethea. She married the love of her life, Bobby DePrang Sr. on July 2, 1975.
Together, they had five children, Bobby and Mary Beth DePrang Jr., Scott and Shannon McCollum, Cari DePrang, Randy and Dawn McCollum, and Wendell and Stacey DePrang. Grandchildren are Justin McCollum, Afton and Eric Beasley, Austin McCollum, Bradley and Donnie McCollum, Sara McCollum, Heath and Kristen DePrang, Shawna Duke, Jordan and Courtney DePrang, Abram and Hannah DePrang, and Landree DePrang, along with 11 great grandchildren and one on the way. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, all of her parents, and both of her brothers, Jerry Dunn and Wiley "Junior" Dunn. She was survived by her sister, Ruth Moseley and sister-in-law, Charlotte Dunn, along with many nieces and nephews.
She graduated from Sulphur High School. She was a dedicated homemaker, who loved spending time with her kids and grandchildren. She always put God first in her life and made sure to spread the love of Jesus with others. Her favorite past times were studying her Bible, playing games, and watching westerns with her grandchildren and great grands. She was a phenomenal cook, who loved having family gatherings whenever she could. She worked for Atlas Refinery, Premepco, Sunset Driver-In movie theater, and Western Electric. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church Keithville. Her favorite thing to tell everyone was "I love you to the moon and back because that is a lot of love." We are going to miss you but thankful to know you are in the presence of Jesus.
Pallbearers will be Scott McCollum, Randy McCollum, Justin McCollum, Austin McCollum, Bradley McCollum, Eric Beasley and Samuel Beasley. Honorary pallbearer is Robert Schweigart.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church Keithville Children's Ministry.
A visitation for Mary will be held Friday, October 25, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108, followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM. Mary will be laid to rest in Centuries Memorial Park; Graceland ; Lot: 88.
