Mary Beatrice Evans

Mary Beatrice Evans was granted her angel wings on July 2, 2012 at 3:21am. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Mrs. "Sister" Evans touched throughout her long beautiful life. She was born December 30, 1920, in Hemphill, TX.

She is survived by her sister, Opal Hanson; son, Joe E. Evans; numerous grandchildren, great grand children, nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas E. Evans; daughter, Nora H. Dupuis; son, Sidney D. Evans; son, John M. Evans; and daughter, Donna Eilbeck.

Mrs. Evans retired from Captain Shreve High School and was a founding member of the Shreveport Pentecostals (Meriwether Pentecostal Church). She enjoyed ministering to others in need and always had a kind word for everyone she met.

Funeral Services will be held at Centuries Memorial on Friday, July 6, 2012, at 10:00 a.m., with interment following in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening between the hours of 5 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Shreveport Pentecostals Church. The family extends our deepest gratitude to St. Joseph's Hospice for their tender care, especially during her final days.
