Graveside services celebrating the life of Mary Ellen Jacobs, 85, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 in Centuries Memorial Park, Shreveport, LA.
Mary was born on January 16, 1926 in Mitchell, South Dakota. She graduated from Presentation College School of Nursing in 1947 and worked as a nurse until her retirement in 1999. She was employed by Doctor’s Hospital from 1963-1999, where she was a nurse in the Orthopedics Department.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, William Archie Jacobs and one son, Bruce Jacobs.
Left to cherish beautiful memories of Mary is her son, James Jacobs of Bossier City, LA.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to the Presentation College School of Nursing, Aberdeen, South Dakota.
