Sad to loose one of the 3 best friends I have ever had in my life.  So generous & so loving.  I first met him in 1977 while in Medical school @ LSU.  His friendship kept me sane and grounded during those years.  We lost close touch for a while but had recently reconnected.  He leaves a big void that will forever remain unfilled.  With his loss comes a major connection to our joint journey of together becoming well grounded and loving gay adult men.  May the world know that he was honorable, honest, and loving.   Thank you Michael for being my friend.

A true friend and colleague!  I will miss you my brother.....

Mike,  It is all good now, just keep smiling down on all of us.  See you on the other side.

I'm so sorry to learn of Mike's passing.  We were co-workers at UTP.  Articulate, diligent and hard working, Mike was an excellent Landman.  Mike was never too busy to lend an ear or a helping hand.  

Mike spoke of his family often and loved them dearly.  Sometimes I felt as if we knew the entire family.  We've lost a friend and the industry has lost a good person.  

May God wrap his arms around you and give you comfort that Mike suffers no more.

The above was a card I received when my brother past away and I always find it helpful when I have a heavy heart.

I am so sorry for your loss.  I knew Mike as a fellow Landman and through our shared close friend Chris Linscomb.  Mike leaves so many friends that he loved and the love was returned.  Always made me laugh.  I knew him in the early 80's when I came from OKC to Houston for Union Texas. This is truly a sad day when his obituary is in the Houston Chronicle the same day as Gene Linscomb's (killed in a tragic murder rampage last Sunday).  My prayers are for both families.

Mike was an awesome friend and mentor. He gave me great career advice, and was always so funny and nice. You could tell him anything. He had the best sense of humor. He is missed.

I last saw Michael here in Boothbay Harbor, Maine and have a vivid memory of him "getting down"  with a hot steamy Maine Lobster.  Good times.  He was speaking about a month or six weeks in Maine this summer.  I'm sorry he won't make it, but he is in a better place.
