Born on December 14, 1952, in Newellton, Louisiana, to Orie and Christine Knotts, Miron grew up surrounded by a large and loving family. On December 13, 1975, he married the love of his life, Glenda, with whom he shared nearly 50 years of devotion, laughter, and cherished memories. Together they raised two children, Angela and Steven, who were his greatest pride.
Miron dedicated more than 40 years to the craft of watchmaking, owning and operating Bayou Watch Repair for 30 of those years. Known for his skilled hands and precision, he earned the respect and trust of countless customers and became a fixture in his community.
To his grandsons, Miron was simply “Poppy.” He could always be found in the stands at basketball games, or cheering from his beloved golf cart at baseball and football games. Outside of supporting “his boys,” he found joy in fishing, riding his motorcycle, early morning breakfasts, and dinner with friends.
Miron was preceded in death by his parents, Orie and Christine; brothers Rodney, Randell, Mark, Carl “Moose,” William, and Thomas “Tommy,”; and sister, Lisa.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Glenda; daughter, Angela; son, Steven, and daughter-in-law, Brandi; grandsons: Hayden, Holden, and Douglas; brothers Maxie, Larry, and Ricky; sister, Wanda; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
Miron was a man larger than life. Friends were treated like family, and strangers quickly became friends. He had a gift for connection, and no matter where he went, he left behind warmth and laughter. The world lost its sparkle the day he passed, but heaven gained a cherished soul.
