Preston honorably served with the United States Air Force for 4 years. He was a talented mechanic and he used his gift through many positions during his career. Including being a bank maintenance technician who specialized in maintaining vaults and being a locksmith.
During Preston’s free time he enjoyed golfing, fishing, and doing handy work. He shared a love for vintage cars, and most of all, his family. Preston had a quiet demeanor, yet he shared his love in different ways. He never missed an opportunity to make you laugh or smile.
Preston leaves behind his wife of 58 years, Patsy L. Zittrauer; sons Kevin J. Zittrauer and Karl R. Zittrauer; grandsons Chase A. Zittrauer and Connor E. Zittrauer; granddaughter Lauren E. Russ; sister Loucinda F. Gramling and sister-in-law Peggy Wilkins; nieces Stacy, Tiffani and Kandy. Preston is also survived by numerous other family members and friends. He will be greatly missed.
Preston was preceded in death by his father Abner Zittrauer; mother Louise Futrell and step father William Futrell; brother-in-law Wally Gramling and brother-in-law Kenneth Longino.
A graveside service for Preston will be held on Tuesday September 8, 2020 at 12:30 PM at Centuries Memorial Park, 8801 Mansfield Rd, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. Pastor Travis Gulley will be officiating.
