SHREVEPORT, LA. Services for Ralph Anthony Babb, Sr., 77, of Shreveport, LA will be 10 A.M. Monday, October 26, 2015 at Centuries Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Sunday, at Centuries. Officiating will be Dr. Chad Hardbarger of Emmanuel Baptist Church where Ralph was a member. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park.
Mr. Babb was born September 26, 1938 in Port Arthur, Texas and went to be with the Lord on October 22, 2015. Mr. Babb retired from the Unites States Air Force Reserve on September 26, 1998.
Mr. Babb was preceded in death by his mother Edna Mae Babb Welch, father Louis Carroll Babb and step-father William Thomas Welch II (Uncle T). Survivors include his wife of 56 years Barbara A. Babb, two daughters Vickie Babb Hollowell and Beverly Babb Lee-husband Jonathan, and son Ralph A. Babb, Jr.- wife Betsy. Granddaughters: Barbara Lee Babb, Courtlyn Victoria Lee, Caragan Elizabeth Lee, Cameron Anne Lee, Caroline Grace Lee. Brothers: Lionel J. Babb, Robert W. Babb- wife Anne, Carroll Babb- wife Patsy, William T. Welch III.- wife Liz, Joel Welch- wife Janice, Lowell Welch.
