On Monday January 4th, Randall Brian Dickerson, Sr. was found peacefully sitting in his living room. He was a loving, caring father to Brian and Brianne. His grandsons referred to him as their “Play-Paw.” Randall would take them to play at a park or to the McDonalds with a play land to spend time with them. This man loved his grandsons, Tyler Blaze Dickerson, Alex Monroe Huber and Owen Mitchel Huber. His last years were filled with fun times with his grandsons. He also loved his mother, Maxine H. Slayter and his brother, Marlin W. Dickerson, who remembers having special times with Randall, as a loving, growing child. His father, Brian Monroe Dickerson, preceded him in death.
Randall was born on January 2, 1957 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Brian and Maxine Dickerson. After He graduated from Baptist Christian Academy, he attended Baptist Christian College. He soon became a department manager in retail sales. After an early retirement from Arkla Gas, he enjoyed learning, studying, and reading to seek spiritual enlightenment by attending various churches and spiritual entities. He volunteered in several churches by doing clerical work and facilitating in summer camp.
Randall loved animals. There were cats he would feed and watch daily as they returned the unconditional love he gave to them. There are many items and designs of zebras, cats, giraffes and eagles decorating his home as well as a number of beautiful tropical plants.
Interment in Centuries Memorial Park will be held Wednesday, July 14 at 10:00 a.m.
