SHREVEPORT, LA - Services for Rebecca Meshell will be held at 2:00 p.m. on October 14, 2012, At Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Pastor Mark Donohue from Shreveport Community Church will officiate.
Rebecca Meshell was born on November 1, 1952, in Denver, Colorado to Eaton Kittridge Sims III and Betty Ann Montgomery. She passed away on October 7, 2012, in Shreveport, LA in her daughter’s home with her loving family at her side, after a long battle with Throat Cancer.
Becki was a long time resident of Shreveport, Bossier area and the last 20 Years in her dream home, in Waskom, Texas. Rebecca Graduated from Byrd High School and attended Northwestern State University in Louisiana. Becki’s kindness was like no other and she would do for others before herself. She enjoyed traveling, and dancing was a huge part of her life many year’s ago. Her smile always lit up a room.
She was preceded in death by her father, Eaton Sims III; mother, Betty A. Jack; brother, Kittridge Sims; and brother-in-law, Danny Meshell. She is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Joe T. Meshell; daughter, Danielle Gove Whiddon & husband Cliff Whiddon Jr; son, Daniel Gove & wife Lori Gove; sister, Elise Messer & husband Jack Messer; cousin, Collins Nix & wife Nancy; brothers-in-law, Richard & Helen Meshell, David & Peggie Meshell, Raymond & Pat, Billy & Ginger Meshell, Joesph & Nancy Meshell; sister-in-law, Mary Anne Meshell; mother-in-law, Victoria Meshell; and her beloved grandchildren, Trenton Gove, Kursten Whiddon, Ashley & Austin Gove, and Camdon & Caris Meshell.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Nurse Linda, Pam,and Lucy with Willis Knighton Hospice of Louisiana and all the wonderful volunteers that help make hospice what it is. I am so greatful to Cancer Center of America, and all that helped to care for Rebecca in the last year through her battle with cancer.
In lieu of flowers Becki would love for you to donate to Cancer Center of America to help others like her battling a very hard disease and they give free help to cancer victims which made her feel as someone really cared. We love you Mom, You're at Peace Now, The Lord received another Angel but you will be missed dearly on earth by all who loved you dearly.
