Rosa grew up in Burlington, IA, and was raised in a loving home. She enjoyed sewing and cooking and baking for family functions, especially during the holidays. She chose cosmetology as her profession and devoted thirty years as a Cosmetology Instructor. Throughout her life, she loved and was deeply loved.
She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and she has the promise in Rev. 21:4 that "He shall wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, there shall no longer be mourning or crying, or pain, the former things are passed away."
Rosa was predeceased by her husband, Randall Foy; her father, Walter Hardenbrook; her mother Avis Delight Kyler; sister, Meta Stevens and brothers, Darold and Bernard Trueper; son, Dr. Kevin Huston and grandson, Jacob Taylor.
She is survived by her daughter, Kim (Damon) Neeson of Shreveport, LA; son, Kent (Sue) Davis of Shreveport, LA; son,Teddy (Sandra) Pearsall of Haughton, LA; daughter, Terri Self of Ft. Madison, IA. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Monique Huston of Shreveport, LA; ten grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
The family would like to express special thanks to Intensive Specialty Hospital, Gentiva Hospice, Dr. Peter Van, and especially Dr. Wen Liu for the compassionate care shown to Mom during her last weeks of life.
Graveside service will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home and Park.
