Samuel Frank Heable Sr., 58, of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away on December 22, 2025. Born on December 28, 1966, Samuel was a lifelong Shreveport native who deeply loved his family, his friends, and his community.
Samuel spent much of his career working in construction finance and with SPAR, but he found special pride in his later years working for the City of Shreveport.
If you knew Samuel, you knew his love for football. College or NFL—it didn’t matter—game day was sacred, and he rarely missed one. Just as important to him were his friendships. Samuel believed in staying connected and made sure not a single day passed without talking to at least one friend. Those conversations meant the world to him.
Above all else, Samuel was a family man. He was a devoted husband, a proud father, and an adoring grandfather. His family was his heart, his joy, and his greatest accomplishment. Time spent with them was what he treasured most.
Samuel is survived by his loving wife, Scarlett Heable; his daughters, Tara Woods (Derrick Addison), and Amber McTire; and his son, Cody Heable (Lydia Thompson). He was a proud grandfather to Sarina, Layla, Sam, Jon, Ivy, Olivia, and Katie, each of whom brought him immense happiness. He is also survived by his mother, Nelwyn Heable; his brothers, Daren Heable and Billy McFarland; and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his son, Samuel Frank Heable Jr.; his father, Billy Heable; his mother, Sandra Wilkinson; and his brother, Stacey Heable.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on January 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home & Park, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating will be Pastor Otis Moore from Celebration Church.
Samuel’s love, loyalty, and presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit lives on in the family and friends who carry his memory forward every day.
