Shreveport, LA - Funeral services for Taylor D. Isom, Jr. will be held 10:00am this Saturday, March 22 at the Centuries Memorial Chapel. Visitation will held from 5-7pm, on Friday, March 21 at the Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.T. D. as many of his friends called him was born in Mansfield, Louisiana, January 23, 1924. He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II, first enlisting as a Seaman, and later earning his degree through the Navy's ROTC program at the University of South Carolina. After WW II T. D. coached football and taught at Norphlet Arkansas High School. Five years later he joined Gulf Oil Corporation where he worked 33 years.
