Whitney Suzanne Mendoza

Shreveport, LA Whitney Suzanne Robinson Mendoza went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 27, in Shreveport, LA. She was born on August 13, 1984. Whitney was an honor graduate of Sam Houston High School in Moss Bluff, LA. She attended Louisiana State University and earned a B.S. degree in Nursing from William Carey University in New Orleans, LA. Whitney was a compassionate and dedicated nurse to her patients and was most recently employed at Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport. She was a devoted mother to her daughters, Ana-Patrick and Cassidy, who were the loves of her life. She was artistically talented and enjoyed crafting art projects with her children.

In addition to her children, Ana-Patrick and Cassidy, those left to cherish Whitney's memory are her husband Rick Mendoza; mother and stepfather, Janna and Reece Cox; father and stepmother, Dr. Patrick and Lee Robinson; brothers Rob (Babs) Robinson, Dr. Michael Robinson, and sister Kaitlyn (Chris) Mills, stepbrother Jonathan and stepsister Paige Cox; paternal grandparents Marcelene and Wade Thornton, and maternal Aunt Jill Hicks (John), cousins, Logan and Peyton.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, James and Gaye Bowman.

Whitney's funeral service will be held at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home in Shreveport, La. on Tuesday, October 31st at 10:00 AM. Officiating will be Pastor Mark Briggs. Visitation with the Family will be from 9 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery.
