Out thoughts and prayers are with you and your family,Katrina. Your Dad was a special man. He had a wonderful sense of humor! May you find comfort knowing how loved he was.

My precious, loving father is no longer with us. He passed away Saturday morning and I believe that he is sitting in a beautiful spot in heaven, meeting his dad for the first time (father died while his mother was pregnant), with his baby daughter Elizabeth in his lap (died at 18 months), his mother and his dog, Mufasa. I see them sitting together on a beautiful grassy slope, with Elizabeth in his lap, parents beside him and Mufasa lying in front of them, with everyone rubbing Mufasa's belly. He is no longer suffering and struggling. He is at peace.

He was a great man of character and honor, who lived his faith, unmistakably. He was greatly loved by all who knew him and he will forever be missed by his family and friends. He served his country and loved her. He served his fellow man in the way Christ taught us to love our neighbor. I honor him and am thankful, grateful, privileged and blessed to have had him as my father. He far exceeded any dreams and longings of hope in what any human being would have wanted their father to be. I will miss him mournfully until I see him again. I love you daddy.

I just wanted to express my sympathy to the family of Mr. Kuhn. I know Bill, Jr. and Cecilye through their frequent visits at the Sunset Church of Christ when they were in town to visit Bill's mom and dad. They are a wonderful Christian couple, and I justed wanted to say that they are in our prayers along with the entire family. "God is our Refuge and Strength, a very present help in time of need" (Psa. 46:1). May God comfort you all.

Mary and Katrina, we were very saddened to hear of Bill's passing. We told Mom (Aunt Ledavon). She still remembers her family and we knew she would want to know. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and Aunt Carla during this difficult time.

My name is John May. I worked with Bill at Frymaster. I worked with him in shipping and then in welding. After he retired we lost touch and that's regrettable. My sincere condolences to the family. He was a good friend and I loved that man.

The Final Salute

“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another. 

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to William Francis Kuhn our “Brother-in-Arms”.   To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for William.   And to William it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and selfless service he rendered to his country during the Korean and Vietnam Wars while serving in the U.S. Army.  William, you are a true patriot, who served with honor and distinction.  You upheld the finest qualities of an American patriot warrior: courage, commitment, generosity, sacrifice, love and devotion to family and country.  We bid you a sad farewell.  You will be dearly missed from among our ranks.  Be at Ease.  Rest in Peace.
