Austin Raymond MacPhee

MacPHEE, Austin Raymond, 92- Upper Nine Mile River, passed away Saturday June 23, 2012 at the Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Upper Nine Mile River, he was a son Fredrick and Bella (Kellough) MacPhee and the last surviving member of his immediate family. Austin lived all his life on the family farm. He also worked for Elm Avenue Dairy, Elmsdale and for Elmsdale Landscaping. When he was younger his greatest joy was dancing. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Irma(White), son, Daniel(Irene), Carrolls Corner, granddaughters, Denise(Bradley) Kelly, Darla MacPhee, and Denita MacPhee(Dustin); seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Harry Austin, brothers, Melburn, Ernest, Russell, Walter, sisters, Mable, Ella and Emma. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. No visitation by request. A graveside committal service will be held 1 pm on Saturday July 7, 2012 at Sand Hill Cemetery, Upper Nine Mile River. Family flowers only, memorial donations may be made to the Colchester Regional Hospital Foundation.
