
GEHUE, David Joseph William “Jr.” – 54, Indian Brook, passed away in Fort Frances, ON. He was born in Truro, a son of the late Joseph William “Bill” and Mary (Marr) Gehue. He was a certified alcohol and drug councilor, hypnotherapist, author of two books including Voices Of The Tent and a traditional teacher of Native Culture. Music, wrestling, collecting antiques and knitting were among his hobbies along with reading books through a computer has been an advancement he enjoyed. He is survived by his wife Melissa, children Meranda Gehue, Logan Gehue, Lauren Gehue of Indian Brook, Terence and Leandra Augustine of Big Cove, N.B. and Angel and Samantha Lascelles of Moraviantown,ON; grandchildren. Amelia Julian, Rebeka Julian. Scarlett Julian. Serena Lascelles; Sons in law Stephen Julian (Ekkian) and Arvin Knockwood; sisters Joyce Gehue, Coldbrook; Marjorie Copage (Murray), Cambridge; Florence Gehue, Theresa Socobasin (Larry), Wanda Francis, all of Indian Brook; Sheila Gloade, Truro; Jo-Anne Julian, Indian Brook; Anne Mary Fear, Stewiacke; Godsons. Adam Francis and Michael Jadis. Predeceased by a brother Duane Maloney. Visitation will be at his residence 36 Dowie Road, Indian Brook after 2pm Saturday. A traditional service will be held 2 pm, Tuesday, March 15, 2011 in the Community Centre, Indian Brook with an interment in St. Catherine’s Church Cemetery, Indian Brook.
