O’NEIL, Dorothy Marie – 1928-2011, Stewiacke, with the greatest of sadness we announce the passing of our Mom, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, to all who knew our Mom, Thursday May 12,2011. Dorothy was born in Stewiacke , she was a daughter of the late Eddie and Pearl (Helperd) Crawford. Mom’s most precious moments were spent with her children and her large extended family. Mom so looked forward to her bowling days and her two special trips to Florida, with her two daughters and son-in-law. Mom loved to shop-new outfit for any occasion. She took great pride and comfort in the closeness of her children and their families. Mom is survived by her daughters Sharon (Merlin) McCarthy, Barb McKenzie, Beverly (John) Swan, Shelley (Derek) McCarthy, sons John (Linda) O’Neil, Michael (Rowena) O’Neil and Garth (Stephanie) O’Neil; sisters Edna Dean, Edith Grant, Helen Clark, Gloria Crawford, brothers Roy Crawford and Ernie Crawford, sister-in-law Kay O’Neil; grandchildren Kelly (Christina) Dewar, Kim (Gary) Mitchell, Tracey (Brian) Smith, Erin (Brad) Beaver, Taylor O’Neil, Ashley (Trevor) Hunt, Katie McCarthy, Cassandra and Emma(O’Neil); step grandchildren Bryce, Barrett and Jonathan McCarthy. Mom was predeceased by her husband John O’Neil, son Pat O’Neil, son-in-law Gerald McKenzie, sister Joyce Wright, brother Danny Crawford. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, There will be no visitation. Funeral Services will be held 2 pm Tuesday May 17th 2011 at St. Andrews United Church, Stewiacke with Rev David LeBlanc officiating. Private Family interment service at Pine Grove Cemetery, Stewiacke East.
