James "Jamie" Grant MacPhee

MACPHEE, James “Jamie” Grant – 73, Shubenacadie, passed away in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro, on November 22, 2010. Born in Hardwood Lands, he was the son of a late James and Daisy (Grant) MacPhee. A self employed trucker operating James MacPhee & Son Trucking. His first employment was at the Dept. of Lands and Forest, where he was employed for 10 years. He was a member and warden of St. James Anglican Church. Jamie was a quiet man who enjoyed his family and the old family farm at MacPhees Corner. Surviving are his wife Jenny Van der Kooi, sons Christopher (Janet), Bolton, ON; Andy (Kim), Shubenacadie; Perry (Jenny), Redcliff, AB; grandchildren Mitchell, Adam, Sienade, Melissa, Brittany and Jorden; brothers Winston (Pat), Shubenacadie; Gordon (Patsy), MacKay Siding; sister Florence (John), Truro; Darlene (Rick), Stewiacke. He was predeceased by grandson Bret. Visitation 2-4 & 6-8 pm, Thursday with funeral service 11am, Friday both in the Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Hwy 2, Shubenacadie, Rev. Lloyd Ripley officiating.
