Marion Jessica Hanchard

HANCHARD, Marion Jessica – 79, Wittenburg, passed away quietly at the Halifax Infirmary, QEII, on November 16, 2010. Born in Toronto, she was the daughter of the late George and Wilhemina (Graham) Murray. She grew up in Toronto and also had many fond memories of camping at Lake Scugog. She had a teaching career spanning 20 years in Nova Scotia and Ontario. She was an active member of the Truro Seventh - day Adventist Church where she was the organist. Marion will be sadly missed by her children Richard (Brigitte) Hanchard, Porters Lake; Phyllis (Stephen) Lee, Chilliwack, BC; Bill (Fran) Hanchard, Wittenburg; grandchildren Paul, Carrie, Caroline, Jessica, Julia, Richard; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Charles Ross, brothers William and Sandy Murray. No visitation by request. A memorial service will be held 1 pm Sunday at the Truro Seventh - day Adventist Church, 32 Wynn Road, Truro,Pastor Ron Bissell and Pastor Dave Hamilton officiating followed by a committal service at 3pm in Wittenburg Cemetery, In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marion may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
