Neilena Nina Ann MacPhee Bannister

BANNISTER, Neilena Ann “Nina”, 66, Truro, passed away peacefully August 25, 2011with loved ones by her side at the Halifax Infirmary Site, QEII. Born in Chester, N.S. she was a daughter of the late Dan Hector and Catherine (Kennedy) MacPhee. She will be sadly missed by husband John “Willis” Bannister; daughter Deborah (Martin) Willett, Westville, N.S. ; sons, Darcy (Melissa) Truro, N.S., Leonard (Lorri), Springhill, N.S.; sister, Elizabeth Poirier, Kingston, Ontario; the joys of her life: her grandchildren, Tyler, Brady and Bretton Bannister; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by sisters, Georgina, Belle, Albertha; brothers, Harold and Neil. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 pm Sunday in Inverness Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be held 10 am Monday August 29, 2011 in Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Inverness, Father Duncan MacIsaac presiding. Donations in memory of Nina may be made to the Inverness Cottage Workshop.
