Robert Robbie Earl Brimicombe

BRIMICOMBE, Robert Earl “Rob” – 61, Shubenacadie, passed away surrounded by family members with an abundance of love on March 22, 2011, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Truro, March 28, 1949, he was the son of the late Robert Henry and Florence Daphne (Crockett) Brimicombe. He was a devoted father, grandfather and brother. Robert retired after serving 29 years in the Royal Canadian Navy. Rob enjoyed many things including playing darts, cards, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time at his hunting camp with family and friends. He was a past president of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch III, Shubenacadie. Rob is survived by his loving children, sons Jim Brimicombe (Shelly), Waverley; Colin Brimicombe (Natalie), Enfield; daughter Becky Brimicombe (Darin Barbrick), Shubenacadie; grandchildren Kiana, Kenzie, Kamryn, Ashlyn and Ava; siblings Jacqueline (John Hann), ON; Mike Brimicombe, ON; Paul Brimicombe (Donna), ON; Jean (Bruce) Harvey, Shubenacadie; Susan (Allen) Gill, Urbania. He was predeceased by an infant brother Frederick Brimicombe. Visitation 7-9 pm, Thursday with a Legion service at 7pm. A funeral service 11AM, March 25th, 2011, Friday all in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Hwy 2 Shubenacadie, M. Dale Crawford DLM officiating. Family interment in Admiral Rock Cemetery.
