Sadie Emma Stewart Crawford

CRAWFORD, (Stewart) Sadie Emma – 93, Brentwood formerly of Stewiacke, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at the Brentwood Ponds. Born in Lyttleton, New Brunswick, she was a daughter of the late Ambrose and Cora (Matthews) Stewart. She loved to garden and will be remembered for her rhubarb patch and the many cups of tea and cookies she shared with those who visited her. She made many beautiful quilts for her family and friends. She was an active member in the Stewiacke Baptist Church and a life member of the WMS. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be sadly missed by brother Jarvis (Lillie) Stewart, Truro; sister Betty (Bob) Kent, California; daughter- in- law Saundra Crawford, Stewiacke; granddaughter Debbie Richardson; grandson Darrell Crawford, Victoria, BC; great grandchildren Alexander, Ryan, Quintessa, Hailey and Morgan; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Earle F., son Earl Jr., sister Elsie, brothers Raymond, Menzie, Malcolm, Herbert (9Years) and Ambrose Jr. in infancy. Visitation today 4-7pm, in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Exit 10, Shubenacadie from where funeral service will be held 2pm, Saturday. Reception to follow at the funeral home. Spring Interment in Pine Grove Cemetery. Family flowers only. Memorial donations in memory of Sadie may be made to the Diabetic Association or a charity of your choice.
