

Born September 16, 1970 in Cape Girardeau, MO., to Gary and Debi (Lawrence) DeWitt of Sikeston, MO. She attended Sikeston High School. She then earned a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Southeast Missouri State University, and went on to receive her MBA in Healthcare Administration from Tennessee State University.
On December 31, 1997, Amy married Howard “Ethan” Oliver. After several moves, they made their home in Cape Girardeau, MO.
Amy was a loving and devoted mother and wife. Her family was her whole life. She loved decorating her home. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends and family, especially at Kentucky Lake.
She taught in the Harrison College of Business and Computing at Southeast Missouri State University.
Amy and her family were members of St. Vincent De Paul Parish. She was an active volunteer at Notre Dame High School and a previous cheer coach for St. Vincent De Paul School.
Survivors include her husband, Howard “Ethan” Oliver, her three daughters, Kathleen, Julianne and Charlotte Oliver, all of Cape Girardeau, MO.; sister, Lawren (Scot) McMullan of Sikeston, MO., sisters-in-law, Debbie (Chip) Killian of Frierson, LA., and Rebecca (Chris) Jones, of Memphis, TN. Several Nieces and Nephews, Witt, Graham and Gray McMullan of Sikeston, MO., Christopher, Oliver and Emma Rush Jones, of Memphis, TN.; Callie (Eddie) Taylor of Bossier City, LA. and Daniel (Tracy) Killian of Bossier City, LA. and numerous cousins.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 21, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston with Celebrants Rev. Rick Jones and Rev. Colby Elbert on Wednesday, September 22 at 10 a.m.
Interment will follow at Sikeston Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brandon DeWitt, Chris Jones, Christopher Jones, Oliver Jones, Daniel Killian, Graham McMullan, Scot McMullan and Witt McMullan.
Memorials may be made to St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, St. Vincent De Paul Catholic School, or a charity of your choosing.
