

Arvil Lee Edwards, age 62, of Sikeston, died May 31, 2016, at Southeast Health Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Born April 19, 1954, in Sikeston, to the late Herbert Arvil and Ruby Lee Holmes Edwards, he was a branch manager for Cummins Mid-South of Sikeston, retiring after 41 years of service. He was a member of the SEMO R.C. Flyers Club of Sikeston, and had served in the United States Army. On September 4, 1971, in Sikeston, he married Deborah Hanor, who survives of the home.
Additional survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Amie and Rick Wrather of Sikeston; one brother and sister-in-law, Herbert Allen and Joy Edwards of Belle, Mo.; four grandchildren, Abbi and husband Justin Lindsey, Jenni Wrather, Laine Wrather and Blake Wrather; and one great grandchild, Brooks Lindsey.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Caroline Sue Stroud and Patsy Lucille Fraley.
Visitation will be held from 5 – 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2016 with Scott Griffin, pastor of the Wesley United Methodist Church of Sikeston, officiating.
Interment will follow at the Matthews Cemetery, with full military honors provided by the Missouri Military Honor Guard Unit.
Pallbearers will be Harold Dunn, Robert Dunn, Matt Dunn, Alan Childers, John Fisk and Steve Dodson. Honorary pallbearer will be Tom Thurman.
