Billy Gardner

Billy Leroy "Roy" Gardner, 72, of Matthews, died February 25, 2016, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. Born March 9, 1943, in Manila, Ark., to the late Roy Wesley and Alberta Garland Gardner, Sr., he served in the United States Navy and was a self-employed investor. On February 23, 2003, in Las Vegas, Nev., he married Pamela Ann Conary, who survives of the home.

Additional survivors include: three sons, Ronald (Debbie) Gardner of Flagstaff, Ariz., Dustin Gardner of Sikeston and Roy Wesley Gardner II of Port Huron, Mich.; one daughter, Linda Jean Gardner of Matthews; one brother, Aubry Ray Gardner of Matthews; one sister, Linda Ramsey of Sikeston; four half-sisters, Gloria Gardner, Lois Gardner Dickerson, Betty Gardner Crowley and Yevonne Gardner Gross, all of Sikeston; and his second stepmother, Willa Gardner of Circle City. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Jason Goss, Heather Copeland, Drew Gardner and Brody Gardner, all of Sikeston, and Megan Gardner and Sharon Gardner of Ariz.; and one great granddaughter, Mady Gardner of Ariz.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Audie May Gardner, his stepmother, Joanne Chadd, and one half-brother, Michael Allen Gardner.

No public services are scheduled.
