Bungon Gentry

She was born on November 18th, 1950, in Nahkon Phanom, Thailand, to the late Paengtha Thongmee. Bungon has five brothers, and two sisters.

Bungon married James William Gentry on April 12, 1973, in Thailand.

Bungon loved to fish especially at Duck Creek. From baiting the hook, to cleaning the catch, she was a willing fishing guide to her family. According to her, crickets were the best to catch the bluegill. Bungon also enjoyed gardening, cooking and entertaining her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Wan (Bruce) Lee, of Valencia, California, Noy (Curt) Buehler, of Jackson, Missouri, James R. Gentry and William K. Gentry, both of Ft. Myers, Florida; her grandchildren, Brandon Lee, Asha (Sean) Gremillion, Brianna (Kevin) Shaver, Trevor Buehler, Marissa Buehler, and Alyssa Lee; and one great grandson, Nicolas Shaver.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, Missouri.
