Dora Dimple Essary

Dora Dimple Essary, 91, of New Madrid, died July 3, 2012 at the Golden Living Center. Born November 6, 1920, in Caruthersville, to the late Thomas Marion and Katie Leona Goodrum Handley, she was a homemaker and member of the Kewanee United Methodist Church since the 1950s. On February 19, 1946, in Crown Point, IN, she married Levie Wilson Essary, who preceded her in death on August 25, 1988.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, three brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Esther Essary of Matthews; two daughters and sons-in-law, Doris Jane and Scott Glassmeyer of Bertrand and Martha Sue and Mark Sutton of Matthews; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00pm Thursday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where funeral services will be conducted at 10:00am Friday, July 6, with Bro. Billy Davis of Kewanee, officiating.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jason Essary, Darin Essary, Justin Ling, Matthew Glassmeyer, Chris Shelby, Marcus Sutton and Daniel Sutton.
