Dear Family, I don’t know if you will ever see this but I thought I would give it a shot.  I was in the Navy with Earl.  He was one of the first people I met when I was put in “E” Division on Board USS Coral Sea CVA 43.  I was 18 and had no idea what I was getting myself into.  His friendly Personality and big smile was a warm welcome.  I remember when he took leave and went home to get married.  I’m guessing he was 21-22 then. I also remember when he returned and he was a happily married man. Down through the years I often wondered if I could get a hold of him and ask how he was doing. I actually tried a couple of times but was unsuccessful.  That’s why I was so shocked when this time I put his name and town in a google search and up popped his Obituary.  Although time changes us all I could see Earl in the picture.  The Obit told me he had a beautiful life filled with a loving family.  I can picture him being a loving husband and father filled with happiness and a few stresses thrown in.  I wondered what kind of work he went into.  Did he use his electrical schooling to become an electrician as I did or go back to school and become a doctor?  One thing I am pretty sure is, whatever it was he was good at it.  If anybody ever reads this know this, If I ever think about Earl it is all good thoughts.  He was a good friend to me.  I am sorry for your loss.

Earl and Janet are wonderful neighbors. I went fishing several times with Earl. We never did catch many fish, but we did manage to solve most of the worlds problems while fishing. Prayers to Janet and family.

I attened school with Earl and lived just 2 blocks form him.  He was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed.

Wow, I worked with and for Earl for alot of years, a good guy and and a
very good friend.  I  just e mailed Earl  2 weeks ago to see if he could come to our next get together, I should have made a point to go down to Sikeston to
visit him.  I already miss Earl.

I worked with Earl at NGA and the 218th MoANG and have a lot of fond memories of him. I know he will be missed

I worked with Earl at NGA in St. Louis from the 80's until he retired from there. He was a good friend I never saw enough of. He will be sorely missed by the people that knew and work with him.
