Emma Johnson

She was born February 22, 1923 in Essex, MO. to the late Charles F. and Minnie English Wamble.

She was a member of Illinois Avenue General Baptist Church in Sikeston, MO.

She moved to Sikeston, MO. from St. Louis, MO. after retiring from Edison Brothers Stores Inc., in the tax department, after working forty-one years.

On June 24, 1943 in St. Louis, MO. she married Linn A. Johnson who preceded her in death on November 16, 1997.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by five brothers, Edgar Wamble, William Wamble, Leroy Wamble, Harold Wamble and John Wamble; three sisters, Alice Wamble, Esther Stevens and Mary Crowley.

She is survived by special nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO. with Rev. Harold Christian, officiating.

Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, MO.
