Born October 4, 1940, in Thebes, IL, to the late Francis and Susie Jackson.
He married Sharon Asbell Jackson on November 23, 1962 in Colorado Springs, CO., who preceded him in death on October 26, 1994.
Survivors include: his fiancé, Bobbie Buttry of Sikeston, MO.; one son and daughter-in-law, Floyd and Dawn Jackson Jr. of Truro IA.; two daughters, Donna Marie Smith of Cape Girardeau, MO., and Marian Deann of Hiawatha, KS.; two brothers, Dearl Jackson of Springield, IL., and Terry Jackson of Thebes, IL.; four sisters, Shelby Spencer of Cape Girardeau, MO., Janet Hewerdine of Chester, IL., Linda Lee of Metropolis, IL., and Carolyn Gaskins of Olive Branch, IL.; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, Marion Dean Jackson and one sister, Martha Durham.
A memorial service will be held Sunday October 1, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at the Sikeston Eagles Club in Sikeston, MO.
