

He was born on October 25, 1940, in Antlers, OK to the late Lester and Fannie Iola Turner Karnes.
On November 19, 1959, in Crowder, MO he married Geraldine Scott Karnes who survives of the home in Sikeston, MO.
He was a parts manager for Aufdenberg Equipment until he retired in 2009 after forty-two years of service.
He is survived by one son, Craig (Lisa) Karnes of Bertrand, MO; one daughter, Darla (David) Hamlin of Hollister, MO; one brother, Joe (Becky) Karnes of Sikeston, MO; one sister Debra (Gary) Shelton of Searcy, AR; four grandchildren, April (Brent) Williams, Danielle (Nick) Little, Amber (David) Ruedrich and Tyler Karnes; seven great grandchildren, Ryan Little, Cadence Little, Collin Williams, Clara Williams, Keira Ruedrich, Addison Ruedrich and Bentley Ruedrich.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Morris Lester Karnes; one son, Ricky Dean Karnes and one grandson, Ryan Scott Hamlin.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO where funeral services will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. with David Hamlin, officiating.
Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Morley, MO.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Karnes, Ryan Little, Collin Williams, Brent Williams, Nick Little and David Ruedrich.
