Jack Evans

Born August 1, 1939, in Delmar, AL., to the late Alford and Ina Byrd Evans. He was a member of Bird’s Corner Assembly of God Church. He served in the United States Army; he retired from Lewis Bros. Bakery in 2001.

On July 29, 1963 in Decatur AL., he married Mildred Parker Evans, who preceded him in death on August 8, 2008.

Survivors include: three sons and two daughters-in-law, Tim and Vickie Evans of Paragould, AR., Tracy Evans of Zalma, MO., Randy and Robin Herron of Arab, AL.; four brothers, Travis Evans of Honolulu, Hawaii, Bobby Evans of Sikeston, Terry Evans of Sikeston and Larry Evans of Sublimity, Oregon; one sister, Carolyn Evans of Sikeston; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by one brother, Curt Evans; two sisters, Ruby Starks and Jackelene Day.

Visitation will be held on Thursday August 10, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where the funeral service will be held on Friday August 11, 2017 at 1:00 p.m., Bro. Dewayne Coleman pastor of Canalou Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, Mo.
