John Bohannon

He was born August 30, 1947 in Perryville, MO to the late William and Willa Menz Bohannon.

He was a 1965 graduate of Sikeston High School; he graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 1977 with a Bachelor of Business degree in accounting. He worked a number of years at Steward Steel before retiring in 2005.

On July 30, 1972 in Bertrand, MO. he married Phyllis Berry Bohannon who preceded him in death on December 12, 2011.

Survivors include his four children, Phillip Bohannon of Bloomfield, MO., Justin Bohannon of Sikeston, MO., Karen (Stephen) Johnson of Fletcher, NC. and Ben Bohannon of Houston, TX. also four grandchildren, Alyson Bohannon of Bloomfield, MO., Lily, Noah and Delainey Johnson of Fletcher, NC.

In addition to his parents and his wife of thirty-nine years he was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Bohannon and his sister Terry Hutchison.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO.

A private graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2021.
