

He was born October 30, 1942 in Sikeston, MO. to the late Bondell Crone and John E. Chadd.
Johnny graduated from Sikeston High School in 1960. He was a proud United States Marine. After separating from the Marine Corps, he served as the Director of the Chamber of Commerce in Vallejo, CA. where he started his family. In later years, he worked as the Executive Director at the Kenny Rogers Center in Sikeston for eighteen years. On April 16, 1983 he married the late Pamela Tope of Sikeston, MO. He thoroughly enjoyed retirement as his grandchildren’s biggest fan and supporter. He frequently volunteered at the local Republican Headquarters and never missed a Sunday at Murray Lane Baptist Church. You’d always find him at a Sikeston basketball game cheering on the Bulldogs. He was completely devoted to his family and never went a day without making sure they knew how much he loved them. He was a proud father, grandpa, papaw, brother, uncle and a St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Survivors include three daughters, Wendy (Scott) Henry of Colorado Springs, CO., Cindy (David) Murray of Oakland, CA.; and Leslie (Rob) Rodgers of Sikeston, MO.; One brother, Larry (Cindy) Voliva of Denton, TX.; five grandchildren, Sydney (Wesley) Shaw, Abbye King and Chase Rodgers all of Sikeston, MO., Bradley Hines of Sacramento, CA. and Amanda (Frank) Perino of Green Valley, CA.; one great-granddaughter, Abby Perino of Green Valley, CA.; three great-grandsons, Blake Perino of Green Valley CA., and Parker and Cannon Shaw of Sikeston, MO.; one nephew MSgt Timothy Voliva of Frederick, MD.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO. Bro. Joe McCullough, pastor at Murray Lane Baptist Church in Sikeston, MO., officiating.
Inurnment will follow at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO. with military honors.
