Michael W. Smith

He was born on May 21, 1961 in Kennett, MO. to Shirley George Smith and the late Archie Smith.

He was a member of Miner Baptist Church in Sikeston, MO. He retired from Noranda Aluminum in 2016 after seventeen years of service. Michael served in the United States Marine Corps for four years, receiving a honorable discharge.

In addition to his mother he is survived by one daughter, Brooke (Adam) Johnson of Sikeston, MO.; one son, Brandon Smith and Kelsie Holifield of Chaffee, MO.; one brother, Gary Smith of Sikeston, MO. and three grandchildren, Owen Lornson, Graham Johnson and Benjamin Smith.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his four grandparents.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12:00 noon at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO. with Danny Kuykendall, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO. with military honors.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Smith, Adam Johnson, Phillip Stinnett and Randy Hooe.
