

Noel “Dean” King, age 74, of Sikeston, died March 21, 2016, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Born August 19, 1941, in Cave City, Arkansas, to the late Radie and Gretha Marlin King, he was the owner of Dean King Roofing and Construction Company. On December 15, 1996, in Sikeston, he married Brenda Lewis, who survives of the home.
Additional survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda King and fiancé Tommy Burton of Sikeston and Deana and Jamie (who was just like a son to him) Parker of Sikeston; one son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Carrie Cypert of the state of Michigan; one brother and sister-in-law, James and Betti McCants of Bertrand; and one sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and James Davis of Little Rock, Arkansas. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Justin and Patty Hawkins, Micheal and Alicia King, Brittney Parker and fiancé Joey Atkinson, Jacob Cypert, Max Cypert and Ashley and Nick Mansker; and four great grandchildren, Brooklyn Rayne Hawkins, Emily Corwin, Elizabeth Corwin and Levi Mansker; several sisters and brothers-in-law; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Freeman, and grandparents Ethridge Marlin and Sarah Lou Marlin.
Visitation will be from 5 – 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 25, with Austin Maxwell, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be Justin Hawkins, Micheal King, Joey Atkinson, Fred Dodds, Allen Cypert and Alan Hopper. Honorary pallbearers will be James McCants, James Hopper, Jim Young, Jamie Parker, Tommy Burton and Rueben Hubbard.
