

Robert W. Gee, 74, of Sikeston, died June 3, 2014, at his home. Born May 12, 1940, in New Madrid County, to the late Daughtless and Mildred Cremens Gee, he served in the U.S. Air Force from 1957-1965. He was employed by the Sikeston Department of Public Safety from March of 1979-May of 1999, retiring as Captain of field operations. Following his retirement, he was employed by the SEMO Drug Task Force from July of 1999-September of 2000. He was a member of the Sikeston VFW Post 3174 and also the American Legion Post 114. He was of Baptist faith.
On March 31, 1979, in Parma, he married Sheila White, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two brothers and one sister-in-law, Larry and Geneva Gee of Malden and Donald Gee, also of Malden; three nephews, Bradley Gee of St. Louis, Don Gee of Chicago, Ill., and Tony Summers of Malden; and one niece, Crystal Stone of Belleville, Ill. Also surviving are two stepsisters, Charlotte Gee and Betty Gee; one aunt, Lorraine Gee of Parma; and several great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5, beginning at 11 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Kelley Grubbs, pastor of the Murray Lane Baptist Church in Sikeston, officiating.
A military honors service will follow at the MO State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, with interment at a later date.
Pallbearers will be Logan White, Mark Hagen, Charlie Wade, Bill White, Larry Gregory and Bradley Gee.
