Rosalie Boyer May

She was born on March 16, 1938 in Sikeston to the late Elmer “Hank” and Virginia Aldrich Boyer.

On August 17, 1974 in Sikeston she married Richard May who preceded her in death on November 14, 2000.

Rosalie graduated from Sikeston High School in 1956 and began a career in banking. She was also an active member in the Sikeston Little Theatre.

She is survived by one sister, Vivian Boyer of Sikeston; special cousins, Linda (David) Benoist, Benita Jackson (Ron Spell), Olivia Jackson, Erica (Luke) Williamson, Hayes Williamson, and Reese Williamson.

One special cousin, Larry David Beck, who preceded her in death two days prior on June 3, 2023.

A special thank you goes out to her two special caregivers, Leslie Johnson and Loretta Thornton.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2023 from 12:00 noon until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO with J.T. Thomason, Chaplin with VNA Hospice, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, MO.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) of Southeast Missouri.
