On Tuesday, January 22, 2019, Kitty Gardner, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved wife of 54 years to the late Elwin "Al" Gardner; loving mother of David (Shirley), Michael (Shelley), Bruce, Paul (Nancy) Gardner and Kathy (Jeff) Carey; dear sister of Patricia (Robert) Angell and the late Matthew and John Nolan and Mary Beers; cherished grandmother of David Gardner, Jr. and Susan Belangee, Shannon Stockton, Paige Lancaster, Greg Gardner, Paul Gardner, Jr., Katie Gardner-Boehm, Brian Gardner, Meghan, Kevin, and Molly Carey; great-grandmother of Alessandra, Cathryne, Samantha, Hilarie, Erica, Audrey, Colin, Ryan, Andi, Asher, Elliott, Isabel and Olivia. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 3-5 PM at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11800 New Hampshire Ave., Silver Spring, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 11AM with visitation one hour prior (10-11AM) at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 12319 New Hampshire Ave., Silver Spring, MD. Entombment to follow at Gate of Heaven. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to support the azalea gardens at St. John the Baptist or to Montgomery Hospice.
