Alberto (Al) Edquiban Valencia, beloved father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family. Born in Guam, USA, Alberto was the eldest child of the late Manuel De Perio Valencia and Fortunata “Ning" Edquiban. From a young age, he embodied dedication and responsibility by working two jobs to provide for his family and instilling in his children the values of perseverance and love.
Alberto was known for his tireless work ethic, his fondness for 1960s television shows and classic action movies, and his curiosity for learning—often found scrolling through YouTube for informational videos. He enjoyed life’s simple pleasures: savoring Filipino food, sipping on a cold Coke, and relaxing in his favorite recliner.
In his retirement, Alberto continued to give selflessly of his time—helping care for his grandson, Ezra, assisting his sister Tess after her knee surgery, and finding comfort in the familiar rhythm of his favorite shows. His quiet strength, humor, and devotion will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who loved him.
His legacy lives on through his family, whose lives are richer because of his love, sacrifices, and unwavering support.
He is survived by his children AJ, Cres, and Angeline; daughters-in-law Candice and Kristin; and his cherished grandchildren Ezra, Zachary, and Gianna. He is also lovingly remembered by his siblings Ed, Dan, Edith, Tess, and Sweet.
