Alessandro Carioti

Born August 22, 1945 in Fabriano, Italy, Sandro emigrated with his parents and siblings to the Washington, DC area in 1962 after his father took a 5 year work assignment at the Embassy of Italy in Washington, DC. He met his future wife Janet Depew through mutual friends, and they married in 1967 just before his parents and younger siblings returned to Italy. Shortly thereafter, Sandro began a long career at Sears in Silver Spring, Maryland, working as a sales manager and later store manager in the automotive department before retiring at age 54.

In life, Sandro found great joy from Ford Mustangs, watching Premier League and Serie A soccer, spending time with his grandchildren, and his trips to Italy to visit his family and stroll around his childhood hometown.

Sandro was preceded in death by his parents Ugone Carioti and Ida Fioretti, his brothers Renzo and Frank, and his daughter Sharon. He is survived by his siblings Silvia and Roberto of Fabriano; his wife Janet; his son David (Michelle) Carioti; his grandchildren Brandon, Bradley, and Abriella; and many nieces and nephews. We will all miss him dearly

A graveside service for Alessandro will be held Friday, February 7, 2025 at 11:30 AM at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20906.
